 Arben Domi is an Albanian doctor. He lives and works in the United States for years. In an online interview to Albanian media A2 CNN, he gave his idea for the taxation from Albania of all its emigrants in the world.

"There are a large number of Albanians living abroad and more and more are leaving. This will make Albania very soon an old country, without perspective, without prosperity. In these conditions, I call on the political class for civic dialogue, it must finally go through a referendum. To think and discuss the taxation of every Albanian citizen anywhere in the world. This is extremely important for the Albanian nation as a whole. We have a history of suffering, but to think about the future," he said.

But how does the doctor see the realization of this idea? "My opinion is that someone who is taxed in the country where he has decided to live cannot be taxed the same as taxation in Albania. Here I bring you an example. An American citizen living in Albania is obliged to pay Albanian taxes. He pays 5 thousand lekë in taxes in Albania, in America, he has to pay 15 thousand. America recognizes the taxes he pays in Albania. In such a case, accords must be made between the states so that this percentage that is taxed to the Albanian citizen is removed in the state where he lives", said the Albanian doctor who lives in the USA.
