| Albanian children performing Albanian motifs in Chania, Crete |
A magnificent celebration for children on their day, June 1, was organized by the Albanian Community in Chania, Crete. The impressive activity was attended by about 3 thousand Albanians, residents, and visitors of Crete. Dozens of Albanian children have recited and sung outstanding poems and songs, echoing the Albanian language with young voices, sincerity, and many emotions penetrating the entire friendly audience.
Invited to the event were well-known Albanian artists, Myfarete Laze and Avni Lushka. The artists were very impressed by the generous hospitality and the astonishment of the audience that applauded with extraordinary enthusiasm the Albanian holiday for the little ones, in the heart of Crete.
After the festive evening, the two artists donated their profits to the budget of the Albanian Community organization in Chania, in the presence of President Afrim Avdiaj, thanking him for the unique experience they experienced together with children growing up in Crete.
