The Albanian film "The Unfinished Portrait" is shown at "Casa Europa" in Madrid

 The Albanian Embassy in Madrid, in cooperation with the Embassy of Italy, screened at "Casa Europa, Circulo de Bellas Artes", the film "The Unfinished Portrait" (Albanian: Portreti I pa mbaruar), directed by Namik Ajazi. The film is a realization with Albanian and Italian actors, based on real events. It has been quite well received at home and abroad. The film has been announced the best at the Karlsruhe Film Festival, in the 2021 edition.

The film shows the story of an impossible love affair between an Albanian boy and the daughter of an Italian diplomat in the years of totalitarian isolation in ’80.

The activity was greeted by the director of "Casa Europa", Mr. Valerio Rocco who expressed satisfaction with the fact that for the first time in this important center of European culture and art, "Circulo de Bellas Artes", a film with Albanian authors already internationally acclaimed is presented.

The Ambassador of Albania in Madrid, Mr. Gazmend Barbullushi, stressed the importance of showing the film and acquainting the public in Spain with Albanian cinematography and history. The Ambassador of Italy, Mr. Ricardo Guariglia, conveyed the best reviews for the film and the collaboration of actors from both countries. Director, Mr. Namik Ajazi, acquainted the audience with interesting details about the idea and realization of the film and expressed satisfaction with its successful reception in Madrid.

After the screening, many guests, foreign diplomats, cinema lovers, Albanians, Italians, and Spaniards gave their best consideration and emotions for the film.
