The Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama has held a meeting this afternoon with the Prime Minister of Montenegro, in the framework of the presentation of the bridge project that will be built over the river Buna, which will connect Ulcinj with Velipoja.

During the meeting, some details were announced about the bridge project, which will shorten the distance between the two countries by 72 times. It is estimated that in total the construction of the bridge will have a cost of nine million euros.

"Through the bridge we will have a reduced distance of 72 times, it will have a length of 310 meters with three arches of possibility C1, and will be able to be used by cars, buses, trucks, bicycles. There is a height that allows passage under it, in case the Buna River will be open for boats. We are in the phase of preparing the detailed project that will be ready within two months. The budgeting and procurement process will take six months until June 2023, the estimated cost is around nine million euros and may be ready in 18 months.”
