The Tirana Zoo does not lack turkeys, chickens, ducks, geese, rabbits, donkeys, goats, or cows. A large space has been put at their service and the plastic dolls are found everywhere throughout the park.

Although many expected to see an elephant or a giraffe, these animals are not found in the zoo. There are lions, tigers, wolves, foxes, bears, llamas, deer, and ostriches.

Visitors will also be able to see birds such as eagles, hawks, owls, and parrots.

A table also shows the location of the sparrows, a species that grows in Madagascar but has not yet come to settle in the zoo. Over the years, 32 species of animals and 12 species of birds have been kept in this garden.

This investment in 6 hectares of land, inaugurated by Prime Minister Rama and the mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj, has cost 7 million euros. Adults must pay the ticket price from 200 to 300 leks, while children 100 to 200 Leks.

Skopje, Northern Macedonia, has had a zoo since 1926 and has been enriched year after year.

Skopje has fewer inhabitants than Tirana, but their zoo is twice as large with an area of 12 hectares of land, and has 495 animals and 96 different species.

There, visitors can see camels, elephants, giraffes, and seals, which are missing from the Tirana Zoo.
