Well-known Albanian writer Visar Zhiti who currently lives in the US was honored with the grand prize "Le Grand Prix De Poésie".
This is also the Academy Award for Best Poetry Festival.
Not only that, but the Albanian poet also received the "Mihai Eminescu" medal, for his merits in the national and world cultural activity by being declared "Honorary Member of the Academy".
The event is being held today in Craiova, Romania.
Zhiti is a well-known Albanian writer, poet, journalist, translator, and diplomat. He has received all the high literary awards given in Albania, but also in Kosovo. The Albanian writer has also received many literary awards in Italy such as "Leopardo d'oro", "Ada Negri", "Mario Luzi", that of career and other countries. His name is also found in foreign encyclopedias.

Zhiti has been Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sports in the second term of the "Berisha" government
