The Tirana police arrested 3 people and prosecuted 3 others, accused of deceiving foreign citizens to I
nvest in fictitious stock markets.
The police said that during the operation, 4 mobile devices were also seized, sums of money suspected to have benefited from this criminal activity, as well as a list with the data of foreign citizens who were allegedly deceived to invest in fictitious stock markets.
Police report say that in handcuffs ended up:
E.Sh., 29 years old (administrator of the call center entity), A.H., 26 years old, and I. I., 20 years old (call center operators), all three residents of Tirana.
Also, citizens E.S., 25 years old, G.R., 22 years old, and A.H., 18 years old, all three residents of Tirana, employed as operators in this subject, were criminally prosecuted.
"From the investigative actions, it has emerged that the citizen E. Sh., administered, on the boulevard "Gjergj Fishta", a private call center subject, not legal. Following the actions, it was found that citizens A.H., I.I., E.S., G.R., and A.H., employed as operators in the subject call center, called foreign citizens, introduced themselves as sales agents, and through fraud, convinced them to invest in the fictitious stock market (Forex). As a result of the operation, 4 mobile phones, sums of money suspected to have benefited from this criminal activity, as well as a list of foreign nationals who were allegedly deceived into investing in fictitious stock exchanges were seized as material evidence. The work continues for the complete documentation of this criminal activity, the identification of other persons involved in it, as well as the confiscation of the assets that are the source of this criminal activity", said the Tirana Police.
