Albanian immigrants vote strongly encouraged by the US and OSCE ambassadors in Tirana
 Yuri Kim
Ambassador Yuri Kim met with OSCE Ambassador Del Monaco with whom they discussed their joint commitment to support free and fair elections in Albania, justice reform, and the fight against human trafficking.

"We encourage Albania to enable the diaspora to vote as soon as possible, as required by the Constitution," Ambassador Kim wrote on her official Twitter page.

Yuri Kim added that the US strongly supports OSCE efforts in Albania to strengthen judicial institutions and processes, including the development of a new master's program in criminology.

It is worth noting that Sali Berisha and his family have been declared "persona non grata" more than a year ago by the United States of America due to major corruption. In addition to the USA, a number of researchers and analysts both inside and outside Albania consider Berisha extremely corrupt and dangerous person for the future of Albania. Some researchers think that in the protest of July 8, 2022, in Tirana, organized by Berisha and his clan, the main role was played by people who got rich through corruption when Berisha was the prime minister of the country, who in return used, corrup and sometimes pay vertically the very poor strata of Albanian society.
