Standard & Poor's (SP) says that the Russia-Ukraine war has a negligible impact on Albania's economy. With this argument, the agency expects public debt and prices to decrease in 2023.
The Russia-Ukraine conflict does not have any significant impact on the economy of our country. Compared to some countries in the region, trade links are almost negligible and in this respect, the market works better, Euronews Albania reports.
Based on these arguments, Standard & Poor's speaks of a stable economy, setting a B+ grade for public debt management.
The agency says that the latter will decrease in the following years, according to the objective set by the government to bring it to 45% of the GDP in 2025, from the 70% it is today.
For SP, economic growth will be slower this year and will expand with investments in 2023, a period when prices will also stabilize.
We remind that inflation exceeded 7 percent in June, while 6.4% will be recorded for the year. The measures to be taken by the Central Banks in Europe and Albania are expected to increase inflation to 3% next year.
