The tourists in question were rescued after two operations performed by the EC 135 Air Force helicopter crew, and it is learned that they are all in good health after being transported to Lekbibaj.

They were exploring the area but were stranded due to the difficult and steep terrain, as well as the tourists' distance from the drivable area.

According to sources, the foreign tourists had to walk several kilometers, helped by law enforcement and local residents, because the helicopter could not land where they were. They were transported to "Bjeshket e Vashqefeni", where it was possible for the helicopter to land.

Meanwhile, the General Director of the National Medical Emergency Center, Skënder Brataj, reacted strongly on social networks after the news of the mission to rescue some Czech tourists in the Albanian mountains between Valbona and Theth, where law enforcement and helicopters were involved.

"The uncontrolled adventures of mountain tourism continue! Three young people from the Czech Republic end up close to the cliff, where they got stuck for two days after having lost their way and not knowing where to go! How is it possible that for the umpteenth time tourists move without a guide?" he says in his post.
