| Luiza Gega at World Athletics Championships Oregon 2022 |
The Albanian Champion in athletics Luiza Gega has managed to qualify for the final of the 3000 meters steeplechase at the World Cup being held in Oregon, United States of America. Gega put in an excellent performance in the qualifiers, once again confirming the excellent form he is going through.
Luiza came third in heat 2 of the qualifiers, registering a time of 9:14.91, a result very close to the national record, which got her ticket to the grand final. This is the second time that Gega goes to the final of a World Cup, after Doha in 2019. While together with the final of the Tokyo Olympic Games, he completes a triple of historic results for Albania, since no one from our athletics had previously been able to qualify.
