The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, convened the Security Council this Sunday, to discuss measures to implement reciprocity with Serbia, regarding license plates and documents.

After the end of the meeting, through an announcement, it was announced that the reciprocity will proceed quickly and without obstacles.

"Our institutions have already developed all the technical and administrative procedures for the implementation of these decisions, and in this regard, we assure our citizens that the possibility of replacing illegal license plates, as well as the passage of citizens at border crossing points, will be processed in a quick manner, without obstacles and in real-time", says the communique issued by the Prime Minister's Office for the meeting of the Security Council.

Among other things, the announcement emphasizes that the decision of the government of Kosovo is a function of security, the establishment of public order, and the legality of the rule of law.

From August 1 to September 30, 2022, the organization of the process for the registration of illegal number plates in those "RKS" will begin in Kosovo, in all Vehicle Registration Centers.

Also, from Monday, citizens of Serbia who will enter Kosovo will be provided with an 'entry/exit document'.

Kosovo within its territory invalidates the documents issued by the Serbian authorities, as a measure of reciprocity towards the state that does not recognize the identification documents issued by Kosovo.
