Valbona Valley in North Albania |
A Serbian tourist lost his life in the Valbona area this Saturday, after, according to preliminary information from the Police, he suffered a heart attack while exploring the area.
The notification to the Police was made by another Serbian tourist, who was with her, who reported that the group of tourists was in the place called “Maja e grykave të hapura” (The top of the open gorges), local media say.
The services of the Tropoja Police Station, together with the medical team of the Tropoja hospital, have gone to the given address. "Given that due to the steep terrain, it is not possible to land the helicopter, with the help of the Tropoja Police services, the Kosovo Search and Rescue Forces have also started to make it possible to evacuate the tourists from where they are blocked", said the Police.
The pull out of the victim's body is being carried out using a stretcher and a rope, according to the Kukes Police, due to the extremely difficult and steep terrain.
