A competition, the first of its kind in size, but taking place for the third year in a row in Pogradec. Participating athletes had the opportunity to get to know the historical areas of Pogradec in addition to the competitions, as the project was wider than just a competition between them.

"I have been involved in the sport of canoeing in Kosovo for 4 years. Everything is fine in Pogradec, a beautiful city", says Lisi Deçani from Kosovo.

For the leaders of tourism and culture in Pogradec, this sports competition aims to expand from year to year even further, just as Pogradec is working to have its own rowing team.

"Approximately 50 young people from different countries such as Kosovo, North Kosovo are taking part and in the future we want to turn it into a Balkan competition, which is important as it promotes ecotourism among young people", says Ledjan Zeqollari, director of Tourism and Culture.

The winners in this first competition were:

Children's category, 8-13 years old, Blagoj Guginov, first place, from North Macedonia;

In the competition for girls, Valerija Krsteva won first place, from North Macedonia;

Men's category, Aleksej Chakareski, first place, from North Macedonia;

This year, this competition came within the framework of Tirana Youth Capital, including as many young people of different age groups as possible.
