A serious incident took place at the Mechanical Weapons Plant in the city of Gramsh, where three Russian citizens attacked soldiers on duty with chemical sprays.

The three soldiers were injured, while one of them is in a serious state of health. Two of the injured have been identified as Aldo Bici and Ardian Caka, Euronews Albania reports.

Unfortunately, the thrown solution caught their eyes, as a result they are at risk of going blind.

Analyzes are going on to identify the exact type of solution thrown on the Albanian soldiers by the Russian citizens. According to the signs of the injured, it is believed that the thrown solution could cause serious consequences for the soldiers.

From the information so far provided by "Oculus News", the three Russians have been arrested.

The prosecution says that the Russians were taking pictures and tried to enter the perimeter of the plant. It is still not clear what their intentions were; if they were spies or what.

In case they were tourists, says the prosecutor's office, they would not react with neuroparalyzers, but it will be investigated to find out who they are and their intentions.

While Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama suspects that the Russians are spies.

"...what pride for the military guards who neutralized the three individuals suspected of espionage!

Speedy recovery to the injured and now let's wait for the full disclosure of this event!" writes Rama on Twitter.

In the mechanical weapons factory in Gramsh, weapons have not been produced since 1993. After that year there took place only weapons mounting and adjustment until 2004.

In this factory, the process of disassembling the weapons started later, which lasted until a year ago. However, the plant has military weapons inside it and is an object of special importance that is guarded by the Albanian army.
