Albania aims for 230 million euros from the EU, priority projects for employment and energy

 Albania aims to absorb around 230 million euros of funding from EU IPA funds for projects throughout 2023.

The figure was said during discussions in the Laws Committee, where the draft agreement was discussed, Euronews reports.

"If in 2014 the total amount from the IPA funds amounted to 66.7 million euros, in 2023 it is expected to reach 229.5 million euros," said SP deputy Ermonela Felaj.

According to the agreement submitted to the Assembly, priority funding for the next year will be projected in employment, economic recovery, energy and youth.

For this year, projects in the field of justice, integration, vetting and integrated water management had the priority of funding from IPA funds.
