From the 2019 Albania-Italy match where Buffon and Ansi Agolli are seen |
Albania will play against Italy on November 16, in Tirana. This is the luxury-friendly date for our representative team and all red and black supporters.
The date was confirmed just a few weeks after the announcement made by the President of the Italian Federation, Gabriele Gravina, for the match to be held at the National Arena. This test will be played just four days before the start of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
After missing out on the most important football event for the second edition in a row, Italy has started rebuilding the team. The confrontation with Albania and another friendly match will serve coach Mancini to start the new project and the revival of the reigning European champions.
The last match of the National Team with Italy was on October 9, 2017, in "Loro Boriçi". The important match for the 2018 World Cup qualifiers was won 1-0 by the Italians, with Candreva's goal. In history, Albania has played against Italy three times. The matches were played from 2014 to 2017 and the red and blacks did not register any positive results.
