The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, said on Saturday that his country has been hit by another cyber attack. Albania severed diplomatic ties with Iran on September 7, saying that investigations have shown that the July cyber attacks were carried out by Iran as a "state aggressor". Iranian authorities have rejected accusations that they are behind the July attacks. However, the NATO military alliance has confirmed that Iran was behind that attack. The United States has sanctioned the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence and the head of this institution, accusing them of being behind the July cyber attack on Albania. Iran has strongly condemned the US sanctions.

A cyber attack has recently taken place also in North Macedonia. The official website of the Ministry of Education and Science in North Macedonia faced a cyber attack on Saturday. For several hours on the website of this ministry, the message, "Hacked by the Greek hacker team Netwatchers" can be seen, while when clicking on the page, a YouTube video with the title "Famous Macedonia" appears. Officials of the Ministry of Education and Science have said that "there is no room for concern regarding the assertions about the alleged downloading of citizens' data because the website does not have such databases".

After the cyber attacks in Albania and North Macedonia, it seems that Kosovo is next. Media in Kosovo inform that today the websites of the Kosovo Police and the online pages of the Ministry of Justice were hacked. So it is not known who could be hiding behind the cyber attack in Kosovo. Regarding the attack on TIMS systems today in Albania, it has been confirmed that it was done by Iranian hackers, just like it happened on July 15. Even the official website of the Ministry of Education and Science in North Macedonia faced a cyber attack this Saturday.
