When it seemed that everything was going well, Idriz Batha could not join the Greek club of Larissa. The reason for this is a photo he had while performing the Albanian symbol of the double-headed eagle. The event happened in 2018, but the Albanian footballer says that the photo was taken many years ago.

He posed by forming the eagle with two hands and this gesture was seen as a provocation by the Greek club. Speaking about this event on the Albanian media, he emphasized that the photo was just an excuse on their part. For this event, the Greek club has been punished by FIFA.

"It was a photo I posted on Instagram a few years ago. I was part of Partizani of Tirana and I was on a trip with the team. It was just a random photo. I want to emphasize that is not that Larisa did not sign, they just did not respect it. They broke the agreement and the reason was the photo.

I think it was an excuse because I learned from others that the former president of Larisa had problems with other football players. It was an excuse to break the deal. It is a very serious matter, for me as an Albanian it is an insult, but FIFA does not tolerate such cases."

Regarding the payment of 180,000 euros that he received from the punishment of the Greek club, he said: Regarding the payment, it has not completely passed me. A few days ago, we made an agreement with the new presidents that they should pay the entire amount within two months."
