New street named after Mother Teresa in New York
New York Senator Marty Golden in collaboration with the activist and head of "Albanian Roots" Marko Kepi have announced that they are working on naming a street after "Mother Teresa" in Brooklyn, NY. The street that is expected to be called "Mother Teresa" will be where the saint's statue was placed 6 years ago.

"Six years ago, my office in coordination with Marko Kepi and the Albanian Roots Community Organization proudly unveiled the statues of Saint Teresa (Mother Teresa). I am proud to support the co-naming of Mother Teresa Street in the coming months. Congratulations to the Albanian-American community for honoring our great saint" Senator Golden wrote on social networks.
