"Byraktar Diha" and "Bayraktar TB2" are the 2 models of drones that Albania is expected to receive. The first serves civilian use, is super-intelligent, built, and specialized for reconnaissance missions.

This drone has the ability to move at a speed of 80 kilometers per hour, be controlled at a distance of up to 150 kilometers, stay in the air at high altitudes for several hours, and transmit high-resolution images in real-time, Euronews reports.

Last year, the Turkish company published footage of the visit of the Minister of the Interior, Bledi Çuçi, and the former chief police officer, Ardi Veliu, who saw up close some of the models of flying vehicles produced by "Baykar Defense".

Recently, Prime Minister Rama said that Albania will also receive combat drones, where the most famous model produced by the Turkish company is "Bayraktar TB2". Many other countries have embraced this drone, even Ukraine, which has successfully used it against Russian aggression.

However, it is not yet known when these drones will be operational and available.

This is not the first time that Albania buys drones.

A few years ago, with a secret tender, a professional drone was purchased for the support of police operations from the AIRBUS company, worth 350,000 euros.

Meanwhile, during the last two years, simple drones have been used mainly for the control of deep areas at risk for the cultivation of cannabis, which has been effective. Still, there have also been incidents after being shot down by traffickers.
