The police of Korça has finalized a mega-operation by destroying a structured criminal group.
Through a press conference, the police said that the second phase of the "Knock Down 2" operation was finalized, in which 23 people were arrested, while 9 others were declared wanted, Euronews Albania reports.
"In both phases of the operation, the following were seized as material evidence:
– 700 grams of cocaine divided into doses;
– 1 kilogram of cannabis divided into doses;
– 100 grams of heroin divided into doses;
– a quantity of methadone and precussor;
– 1 pistol-type firearm with silencer;
– 38 vehicles;
– 30 mobile devices;
– 5 electronic scales;
– 1 police radio;
- an amount of about 50 million lek in euros, dollars and pounds;
– various suspected forged identification documents for various citizens.
Within the framework of both phases of the operation, 197 people have been criminally prosecuted, of which 54 have been arrested, 16 have been declared wanted, and the investigation continues for 127 other people," said Korca police director Gjovalin Loka.
