Former KLA fighter: We are ready to fight against Serbian chauvinism of Vucic

 

 "We do not want war, never, but if it is imposed on us, we are ready to respond to it to the last atom."

This is what the former fighter of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), Meçan Zotaj, said in an interview for Euronews Albania, when asked if the situation in the north could escalate.

According to him, the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, is the one who gives orders to make the northern area as insecure as possible.

"It is a problem to have a calm until the chauvinist mentality is changed in Serbia, which they have planted since Vasa Čubrilović, maybe even earlier. There are many sources of poisons that poison their own people first and cause occasional problems for the Albanian nation. In the north, all the orders of the criminal who came to Tirana on the 6th are implemented. They strictly follow Vucic's orders to make the northern area as unsafe as possible, to achieve his demand and mania that the north should be led only by Serbs and the Albanians have nothing to do there.

We have been waiting for this. We do not want war, never, but if it is imposed on us, we are ready to respond to the last atom, as we have expressed earlier, as we have been. We will also face criminals and traitors to protect every inch of our homeland. Serbia, with intrigues, murders, threats, maybe with everything it can use, will never succeed in defeating us and bringing us to our knees, either by killing our emigrants who pass there or by exploding bombs in the north of Mitrovica. We are no longer those of 1999, we are also sophisticated, educated, and prepared with the forces of NATO", he emphasized.
