The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has reacted after threats by the Serbian President, Aleksandër Vucic, that he will send the Serbian army to the north of Kosovo. Kurti states that "any non-punishment decided by the EU and the USA for this orchestrated violence will encourage official Belgrade to further incite the destabilization of Kosovo."

"Serbia has been threatening Kosovo with aggression for several days. The President and Prime Minister of Serbia call for the return of the Serbian army to Kosovo. A thousand soldiers they say, invoking UNSC Resolution 1244 (1999).

They want a double return. The first, going back to the time of Milosevic and the war. Secondly, the issue of Kosovo should be returned to the UN and as far away from the EU as possible. As a reaction to the EU proposal supported by France and Germany (and the USA), they want to return to the Security Council where Russia's (and China's) veto is located.

Kosovo is a European, democratic and pro-American state. With this leadership, Serbia is autocratic, pro-Asian, and warmongering. We do not want conflict, we want peace and progress, but we will respond to aggression with all the power we have.

Now that neither license plates nor the date of the elections can be used as a pretext, Serbia's illegal structures transformed into criminal gangs were revealed in their thirst for fire and blood.

Any non-punishment by the EU and the US of this orchestrated violence will encourage official Belgrade to further push for the destabilization of Kosovo.

Interior Minister Sveçla is in contact with KFOR Commander Ristuccia. The barricades of masked criminals in the north must be removed immediately. Kosovo is a country of free and hard-working citizens, regardless of ethnicity, religion, gender, or age. Criminals and Russophiles will fail. The Republic of Kosovo will win," Kurti wrote.
