Belgium's authorities have been looking for the Albanians since July 17, after a neighbor complained about the smell of cannabis coming from their house.
The cannabis farm was found because someone left a window open. The police smelled the cannabis and followed the physical search.
During the search of the residence on August 3, law enforcement found 1,501 cannabis plants growing in four rooms and 9 people between the ages of 21 and 43. A minor was also found there.
Emiljano D. and Danjel L. were responsible for growing drugs. In addition to serving prison time, they will also have to pay 24,000 euros to the owner of the "Fluvius" network as compensation for the theft of electricity.
