| Akil Nerjaku in Court after his arrest |
Akil Nerjaku was in handcuffs on Friday in Durres on a warrant issued by the Anti-Corruption and Organized Crime Special Prosecutor's Office (SPAK).
He was the target of a failed sniper attack in the Durres beach area in November. However, at the time of the incident, Neil Yaku was active nearby, local media reports.
According to information at the time, the perpetrator shot and killed a sniper from a pickup truck as soon as he got off the "G-class" armored vehicle.
The bullet missed its target and landed on a parked vehicle with foreign license plates.
Akil Nerjaku is no stranger to the police force. A few years ago, he was arrested for illegally carrying a weapon and later released by the court.
