Albanian President considers Robert Jenrick's statement about Albanians "deceit and malice"

Albanian President Bajram Begaj considered the generalization of Albanians as "fraud and malice", e the opposite of what history has shown as. Thus, the head of state responded to the statements of the British immigration minister, Robert Jenrick, about the Albanians. From Lezha, where he paid tribute to the 555th anniversary of Skanderbeg's death, Begaj said that he should remind some of the histories of our country and Europe.

"Today, 555 years after his death, at the right time to recognize the values of this people, to generalize Albanians with the opposite of what the first cold-blooded and professional history has shown, is a fraud! It's malicious! I take the opportunity of this commemoration of the National Hero to express my conviction that the life and work of Gjergj Kastriot should strongly remind us of our great respect for ourselves. He is one of the bright names of European history. We Albanians even today, 617 years after the birth of Kastriot, mentioned in many chronicles and histories, must remind some of the histories of our country and the history of Europe".

Referring to the discriminatory statements of Albanian emigrants in the United Kingdom, for which there was also a verbal note from our Foreign Ministry, Begaj said that high officials want to solve their daily despair by belittling the name of Albanians.

"Gjergji Kastrioti was above all an Albanian like others today, who have in their heart the love for this land, have faith in their qualities, and know how to achieve success for themselves and others. These Albanians are in Albania and everywhere in the world, even where high-ranking officials want to solve their daily despair, by harming the name of Albanians".
