On January 27, the Greek police conducted an operation in Corinth and Attica, where four members of the notorious Albanian gang, aged 26 to 44, were arrested, who are accused of forming a criminal organization, theft, money laundering, narcotics, and violence to justice workers.
According to the Greek media, among those arrested is the transporter, Gentian Hinga, 44 years old from Remas I Divjaka, who after the thefts gathered the group and made sure that they were not spotted by the police. He is accused of at least 21 cases of theft, with the criminal organization that in just 5 months of operation has benefited from an illegal financial benefit of at least 200 thousand euros.
The Albanian bandits started their criminal activity in August 2022 and robbed in different regions of Greece such as Arcadia, Korinthia, Argolis, Akaia, Aetoloakarnania, Fokida, Evrytania, Preveza, Arta, Trikala, and Kardita.
Tools Albanian thieves used to break into homes to steal and stolen money |
They entered the house by elaborately breaking the windows, the balcony doors, or the main entrance doors and "discovered" that they had found money and jewels of great value. Then, in order not to move the loot, they got into the luxury vehicle, which had a motor and high horsepower, with European license plates (Italy), and escaped with their loot by speeding on the highway.

Gentian Hinga with disabilities (one arm, one leg) had the perfect "cover" for his mobility problem, which made him go unnoticed as a suspect, transporting stolen goods, tools of theft, and other members of the criminal organization to and from their potential objective.
