A picture of Safet Gjici, the socialist mayor of Kukes, and the former FBI agent Charles McGonigal has recently been shared in the media, local media writes.

Agron Neza, known as "Person A" in the file of the arrested former FBI official, is shown with them as they dine and sip wine in a restaurant, according to Albanian media.

Who is Safet Gjici?

Albanian businessman Safet Gjici is the chief executive officer of EuroGjici Security and Kevin Construction. He was born on April 30, 1972, in Kuks. He is also the president of FK Kuksi, a football team in Albania's Superliga. In the 2015 local elections, he ran as the Socialist Party's candidate for the municipality of Kamz, but he lost to Xhelal Mziu, the Democratic Party's candidate. Following that, he ran for mayor of Kuks in 2019, which he won.
