Two Albanians have been arrested in Croatia after being caught with 11 kilograms of heroin.
Croatian media reports that they were arrested on January 10, while the heroin has a market value of around half a million euros.

The police dog Hunt helped his colleagues from the Gruda Border Police Station, Croatia, to discover 11.35 kg of heroin packed in 20 packages hidden in the modified space of the vehicle under the gear shifter and armrest on two Albanian citizens.

When they arrived at the Karasovići border crossing on Tuesday at around 11:30 a.m., the police officers profiled the 30-year-old and the 44-year-old passenger in the vehicle to the side and called their four-legged detective Hunt, who reacted positively to the presence of drugs in the central part of the vehicle.

By order of the investigating judge of the County Court in Dubrovnik, the vehicle was checked and 20 packages with a total of 11 kg of heroin were found. The driver and passenger were arrested, and a criminal investigation determined that they intended to transport heroin from Albania to the Western European market. The driver and passenger were handed over to the custody supervisor along with a criminal complaint.
