The Republic of Albania will receive a 50 million USD grant from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as announced by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Tirana on Wednesday, February 1, 2023.
The news is published firstly by state-controlled media, ATA.
The Saudi Arabian ambassador said after the meeting with the Minister of Finance and Economy, Delina Ibrahimaj, that this grant is due to the close friendship between the two countries and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's desire to stay close to Albania and support its development in light of the current economic situation Albania is in because of the global energy crisis and inflationary pressures.
The ambassador wished the Republic of Albania continued advancement and prosperity and expressed appreciation for the level of relations between the two peoples.
