In Italy, Anita Likmeta, in addition to building and developing her professional career, has been looking to build a political career for several years. We recall that she was the first Albanian candidate to compete for the Chamber of Deputies of the Italian Parliament in the parliamentary elections that took place last year on September 25. Likmeta was among the main candidates in 3 regions of Italy: Lombardy, Marche, and Lazio.
"I am a political individual, as the life of all immigrants outside the borders is political. When I left Albania, I was a child, in 1997. The whole life of immigrants outside the borders is difficult, but when you persevere and have no other choice, you learn by surviving and succeeding", says Likmeta.
