Bus with Albanian license plates overturned in Croatia |
A serious accident occurred in Croatia where an Albanian bus overturned and as a result, one person died.
It is reported that the incident happened at around 23:43 on the A1 highway between the Brinje intersection and the Ogulin intersection in the direction of Zagreb.
Croatian media informs that the vehicle was driven by an Albanian citizen, 58 years old, and deviated to the left, colliding with the road divider and then the bus overturned.

At the time of the accident, there were nine passengers and the driver on the bus. One person died, while several people were injured and are being treated in general hospitals in Karlovac and Ogulin.
The director of the hospital in Ogulin, Davor Vukelja, stated that an elderly patient is in danger for her life, as the condition is serious.
It is reported that four of the injured persons are in serious condition. All five people are Albanians, all over the age of 50.
All the injured are receiving treatment, one of whom was treated for trauma, and one accident victim is in intensive care in critical condition.

Two of the injured are minors, but their lives are not in danger. There were nine passengers and the driver on the bus.
The highway where the accident happened was temporarily blocked, but it has now been opened for all vehicles except for heavy tonnage.
Due to the winter conditions on the roads, Croatian authorities advise drivers to adjust their speed and driving style, maintain a safe distance between vehicles, and not set off without proper winter equipment.
