Gino Mulliqi is an Albanian activist in Texas who is running for the sixth seat in the upcoming city council of the city of Wylie, Texas.

This is not the first time that he is active in American forums and institutions. He currently serves as Board Secretary of the Wylie Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), where he has excelled in his work.

Wylie is a city and suburb of the Dallas metropolis, an area with a growing number of Albanians.

Mulliqi is very active with the Albanian-American Cultural Association, in Texas, where he has also served in the role of Secretary.

If he wins, Gani Mulliqi will be the first Albanian-American to be elected as a city councilor in Texas.

In a message of support for his candidacy, compatriot Doc Vranici writes, among other things:

"I served with Gino in our local Albanian-American organization where he led the efforts to achieve great success. His skills transformed our organization like never before. Now it will be the city Wylie will shine with his leadership skills and high work ethic. His personality and professionalism are at the heart of his ability to negotiate major agreements and reconciliations between conflicting parties."

"I am proud to support him as a friend and as an Albanian-American compatriot", he writes.

The well-known activist Pranvera Selenica Haxhillari also wrote similar encouraging words: "I had the honor to do volunteer work with candidate Gino Mulliqi, hopefully, the first Albanian-American to be elected to a city council in Texas." She praises him for his ingenuity, for his ability to realize his goals.

"He selflessly perseveres in the face of every challenge and enjoys the utmost respect from everyone," she writes.
