Kejtlin Gjata, the 11-year-old from Durrës represented Albania in "Junior Eurovision"

"I tried to give my best and represent my country better than ever."

This was the statement of Kejtlin Tjata, the representative of Albania in the children's Eurovision.

Although she placed 12th with 94 points, she achieved her goal: to shine light on stage for children who are experiencing dark days in their lives.

"For me, this experience was the most beautiful, which will always remain in my memory. I worked hard to get there and I succeeded," said Caitlin.

"We stayed for 8 days. We definitely visited the city, saw different museums, did rehearsals because we had tiring days, but we also had fun," she said.

At just 11 years old, Kejtlin is already living the life of an artist.

"I'm used to different scenes, different programs and concerts, and what's more, this is the life of an artist. It takes work and passion, but it's also a little bit of luck," said the 11-year-old.

The little artist from Durrës was discovered through competitions of the Children's Cultural Center.

The latter, although so important, is almost abandoned by the local government.

"We have 2 talented teachers, who today come to work voluntarily due to the conditions that have been created for us. Especially after the earthquake of 2019 and the pandemic, everything here is blocked. And they come and work for 3-4 months with these young voices," said Avni Çuni, director of the Durrës children's cultural center.
