Prime Minister Edi Rama has donated 1 million euros to Turkey, after the tragic earthquake that hit the country on the morning of February 6.

Rama donated the money on behalf of the Albanians in a Turkish TV show.

Through a phone call, Rama expressed that he will not forget what Turkish President Rexhep Erdogan did for Albania in 2019 when it was hit by an earthquake.

"We will not forget what President Erdogan did for our country in the 2019 earthquake. We will be with the Turkish people. We as the Albanian people want to donate 1 million euros", he said.

From the devastating earthquake, there were over 41,000 victims in Turkey and Syria, while thousands more were left injured and homeless due to the damage they suffered in their homes.
