Shabani: Edi Rama will be declared 'non grata' by the USA

 The chairman of the Hashtag Initiative (Albanian: Nisma Thurrje), Endrit Shabani, says that Prime Minister Edi Rama will have to face the case of the former FBI official, Charles McGonigal.

In an interview for Euronews Albania, Shabani expressed his conviction that Rama will be declared "non grata" by the USA.

According to him, the decision is not made by the American embassy in Tirana, but by the American State Department(ASD).

"For the sake of truth, here the attempt is to see things with one eye. So, looking with one eye only sees half the picture. I think that the "non grata" of the USA is just as valid for Sali Berisha, as it is for Tom Doshi, for other deputies of the Socialist Party, as it will be for Edi Rama tomorrow.

I am convinced that this work will not end without a "non grata" of Edi Rama. They are equally effective because we are dealing with consolidated institutions. So, "non grata" is not announced by the embassy in Albania, it is announced by ASD, which is the executive of the USA, you have a decision from the Congress, which is the legislature of the USA", he emphasized.
