Built-in the 70s of the last century, the war shelter resembles an underground town with about 80 rooms, which would be used in case of an eventual attack during the communist period.
"The tunnel is a tourist attraction, which attracts many tourists. The tunnel was built for elite people during communism and it is a colossal investment by the communist government and it is a very interesting thing for foreigners but of course also for Albanians", said Xhulio Rexha, quoted.

While it functions as a Cold War Museum, the history and construction method make the concrete tunnel an interesting testament to that period.
"The tourist is more attracted by the authentic things that are in this bunker because everything is original and they go back in time, seeing the equipment and objects of communism", emphasized Rexha.
