After reaching an agreement with the Alliance for Albanians to join the government coalition, Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski presented the list of candidates for ministers and vice-ministers to the parliament on Saturday.
The reformed cabinet will be approved when Parliament meets on Monday. Although analysts anticipate that this will maintain stability in the parliamentary majority, achieving two-thirds support whenever necessary will still be challenging, VOA reports.
Three ministers will report to the Alliance for Albanians (ASh): Azir Aliu is proposed to be the Minister of Information Society and Administration, while neurologist Fatmir Mejhiti, who has been a member of the State Election Commission up until this point, will serve as the Minister of Health.
In the new cabinet, ASh will have two deputy ministers; that of Agriculture and Defense.
In the meantime, the Democratic Union for Integration (BDI) is replaced as Minister of Living Environment by the Social Democratic League (LSDM), which leaves the position of Minister of Justice. Kaja Shukova, the ministry's State Secretary up until now, will lead this department.
In the meantime, DUI assumes the position of Deputy Minister of Education, where he will be in charge of the highest management level. Minister Jeton Shaqiri is a member of this party.
Out of the three members of its current cabinet, the Alternative Party still has one minister.
