The newest Vatra branch was founded in Chicago

 With special enthusiasm and joy, with the participation of the main leaders of the Pan-Albanian Federation of America "VATRA", the newest branch of "VATRA" was founded in Chicago. Patriots, activists, writers, businessmen, prominent professionals and students will lead the Vatra Branch in Chicago to give an even more powerful spirit to the Albanian effort in the American diaspora. The Vatra branch in Chicago will be led by: Mirela Kanini- president, Ernest Naston- vice president, Stefa Bledi - chief of staff, Ardian Ruci - secretary, Daniela Kaja - treasurer and the leadership will consist of: Olsi Taho, Artan Nati, Angelo Maranda, Shkelzen Cakerri and Kastriot Fetahu.

In the welcome speech, the president of Vatra in Chicago, the writer Mirela Kanini, among other things, said: "It is an honor and a privilege for all of us to be members of Vatra as one of the most dignified and prestigious patriotic organizations of Albanians in America. The main goal of this Federation and what we want to achieve as a branch in Chicago is the unification of our community and the strengthening of the Albanian identity and our national values. I read in your eyes the success and strength to carry forward the centuries-old legacy of our historical Hearth" - said Mrs. Kanini. 

The President of the Pan-Albanian Federation of America VATRA, Mr. Elmi Berisha, in her welcoming speech stated that: Vatra has strengthened the Albanian national identity and has historically insisted that the Albanians do not forget the national feeling. Vatra has special values in the history of the Albanian nation. Every Albanian is proud of Vatra" - said Mr. Berisha.
