| Albanian associations in Crete petition addressed to the Albanian Government |
Albanian organizations and associations in Crete under the logo of the League of Albanian Associations Crete have launched a petition to meet the demands and solve the problems of the Albanians on the island of Crete. This petition will be addressed to the Government of the Republic of Albania and the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Greece, the Organization writes on its Facebook page.
Through this petition, the Albanians of Crete request the opening of a permanent Albanian consular office in one of the cities of Crete (Hanja, Rethimno or Heraklion), the permanent establishment (12 months) of the airline connecting Crete (Hanjan or Heraklion) with the Rinas Airport in Tirana as well as the signing of the final agreement between the relevant Ministries for the recognition of social security and the guarantee for the pensions of Albanians in Greece.

Calling all Albanian compatriots in the island of Crete from Kissamo (Hanja), Rethymno, Iraklio, and up to Lasithi, and in all the surrounding areas to join in one voice and one petition, in meeting the demands and solving the problems of the Albanians on the island of Crete.
The petition is addressed to:
- The Government of the Republic of Albania and the Prime Minister.
- Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
– Ministry of Internal Affairs.
- Embassy of R.SH. in Greece.
The petition is organized and compiled by all Albanian organizations and associations in Crete and under the umbrella of the ASSOCIATION OF ALBANIAN ASSOCIATIONS OF CRETE.
Petition Requirements:
1) The opening of a permanent Albanian consular office in one of the cities of Crete (Hanja, Rethimno or Iraklio).
2) The permanent installation (12 months) of the airline connecting Crete (Hanjan or Heraklion) with Rinas Airport Tirana.
3) The signing of the final agreement between the relevant Ministries for the recognition of social security and the guarantee for the pensions of Albanians in Greece.
For the success of the petition, all signature forms have been prepared by all compatriots throughout the island of Crete and will be distributed for signature in all Albanian community centers in Crete (Hania, Kissamo, Paliohora, Rethimno, Plakia, Mesara, Iraklio, Hersoniso , Agio Nikolao and Ierapetra).
Expressing full confidence that the demands of the petition of all Albanians in Crete will be heard, analyzed and finally resolved by the Albanian Government and its relevant ministries.
