Albanian Socialists ready to argue on the McGonigal issue in Parliament

 Socialists are getting ready for the McGonigal case debate motion on Thursday, March 2, the day that Prime Minister Rama will provide clarifications, local media reports.

Following the meeting with the deputies, the head of the Socialist Party's parliamentary group stated this, stressing that the motion with debate is anticipated to last up to 24 hours.

Taulant Balla requested that the opposition be present and refrain from devising any means to impede the session's progress. He also spoke about the Democratic Party's request for an immediate review of the Constitutional Court's decision regarding Minister Olta Xhaçka's mandate, noting that the session's agenda had already been established.

“The Court's decision came in on Friday; I was not the one who made the decision; rather, it was the Council of Legislation, which has to put the instruments into action right away and put them on the review calendar. Remember that the date of the session is determined by a single point on the agenda—the motion for debate,” Balla advised.
