Anita Likmeta, the Albanian who is engaged in politics in Italy with the Più Europa force, has commented on the project of the Port of Durrës that will be developed by the Albanian state together with the United Emirates.
In an interview for "Panorama TV", Likmeta sees this project as a "washing machine" for cleaning dirty money in the country.
She even warns citizens who buy properties in this project to withdraw as it resembles a pyramid scheme like those of the 90s in Albania.

Likmeta: For me, the fact of the Port of Durrës is a little clear. There should have been a public competition and I don't understand why it was the United Emirates that took over this project. It doesn't seem clear as a situation. It will be investigated. There is no such thing. It is not possible for a country like the United Emirates to have such great strength in a country like Albania. The Port of Durrës, with one owner who has 77%, is such a big surprise. Who can do such a thing? How can it be the Albanian state that has 33% and the new owner 77%? This is scary, especially for European countries. It will open a big obstacle to the port of Trieste. I do not believe that Italy will remain silent in this case.
