Edoardo Reja is appointed coach in Slovenia, nothing stops the 77-year-old

 Age remains just a number for Edoardo Reja. The Italian technician who led the Albanian national team for 3 years has now returned to work. The 77-year-old has been made officially at the head of the ND Gorica team, in the Slovenian championship, local media reports.

Left in November 2022 from the Albanian red and blacks, the Italian's goal is now survival in the elite of Slovenian football. Reja's new team is ranked last in the classification table, meanwhile, they have won 2 in 24 weeks, a situation which led to the sacking of Serbian Miran Srebrni.

Edoardo Reja started his career as a coach in 1979, a full 44 years ago, while he has won the Italian Serie B twice with Brescia and Vicenza. He has also been declared runner-up with Cagliari and Napoli.

In 2019, he was appointed in charge of the Albanian national team, as he managed to move the team from group C to B, but then did not fulfill the objectives set by the Albanian Football Federation, which led to the non-renewal of the contract.
