Kosovo drew 1-1 in the first match of the Euro 2024 qualifiers, taking an important point in Israel.
An important point for the Dardanians was the one secured in Tel Aviv against the Israelis. For the Kosovo national team, the 1-1 draw can be considered a good start to the qualifying campaign for the 2024 European Championship.
The match was played at a high pace, with the home team exerting pressure towards Arijanet Muric's goal from the beginning, supported by around 29 thousand fans.
However, the Dardanians managed the game well and even managed to take the lead with an own goal scored by Eli Dasa in the 36th minute, after Rashica's cross.
The first half ended in favor of Kosovo, and the second half started well for them too, as Milot Rashica scored in the 49th minute, but the referee disallowed the goal for handball.
Israel equalized soon after, with Dor Peretz's goal in the 56th minute.
In the remaining time, both teams had some chances, but the best opportunity was missed by Milot Rashica in the final minutes, who failed to finish just a few meters away from the goal.
Currently, Kosovo is in third place with 1 point, as well as Israel, while Switzerland and Romania are at the top of Group I with 3 points each.
