The Ambassador of Great Britain, Alastair King-Smith, in an interview for the show "Now" on Euronews Albania, urged Albanians to choose legal ways to go to Britain.

He stated that a few days ago, the British Ministry of Finance announced a number of job positions in the construction sector, which Albanians can apply for by obtaining work visas.

"You have heard my call, and the British government has made it clear. Those who want to go to the United Kingdom must apply for visas. It is still not believed, but last year over 90% of applicants received their visas. People still believe that obtaining a British visa is very difficult. As long as you can honestly answer the questions of the online application system, supported by the required documentation, there is no possibility of refusal, so 90% manage to obtain visas. This figure includes not only tourist or student visas but also work visas. I would like to see more applications for work visas and for Albanians to work effectively. Ten days ago, the British Ministry of Finance announced a number of job positions in the construction sector. This means that a large number of Albanians working in this sector in the United Kingdom can apply for work visas. We encourage people to choose the legal route and not to risk difficult and illegal journeys," the ambassador said.
