Albanian athlete Luiza Gega has set another new national record in the 5-kilometer race. In the prestigious "Semi Marathon" event held in Lille, France, Gega set a time of 15 minutes and 16 seconds, 23 seconds less than the previous record.
If she had done this road distance of 2 seconds less, Luiza would have broken the Balkan record of this category. With this record achieved, she was classified in seventh place, but it is worth noting that this result was the best achieved by European athletes in an event that saw the world's best athletes compete.
