Prime Minister Rama stated in a Facebook post that meetings have begun with representatives from the private sector to discuss the necessity of future pay raises.
He said that the government is ready to change the entire wage structure after the minimum wage was raised to 40,000 leks in April.
“As the minimum wage was raised to 40,000 lek as of April, we are beginning discussions with the private sector regarding the need for additional wage increases. Rama explains, "The government is planning to rectify the entire wage structure following the substantial increase in the minimum wage as a response to the unexpected difficulties caused everywhere by Putin's aggressiveness and the inflation of war."
