 Historic achievement for Albania in futsal. The red and black national team secured participation in the 2023 World Cup to be held in Essen, Germany.

The celebration began after the 4-1 victory against Cyprus in the final match of the EuroCup. The islanders scored first, but the red and black boys managed to overturn the result in the second half with goals from Armand Gapi and Xhulio Reci.

Albania excelled in the group stage, eliminating even the representative of a big country like Spain. Disappointment in the Futsal European Championship came after a 4-1 loss in the semifinals to Georgia. However, the team managed to gather their strength and shine in the final effort.

The success against Cyprus secured the third place in the tournament and the last ticket to the 2023 World Cup, which will be held in June. Another joy for Albania was the fact that Gledi Nuza's goal against Spain was declared the "Most Beautiful Goal" of the tournament.
