Prime Minister Edi Rama has undergone an operation at the "Mother Teresa" University Hospital Center, Tirana.
Through an official announcement, it is announced that Rama was diagnosed with acute appendicitis, Euronews reports.
"Based on the recommendation of the emergency service doctors, the Prime Minister underwent the operation to remove appendicitis in the early hours of this morning. The operation was performed by a team of surgeons and anesthetists, under the direction of Prof. Arben Gjata, Head of the Surgery Service at QSUT", says the announcement.
